Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Approves Public Service Company of Colorado’s Application to Reduce the Gas Cost Adjustment (GCA), which will Lower Residential and Small Commercial Natural Gas Bills by 15 Percent

DENVER- On Monday, Jan. 30, the PUC approved Public Service Company of Colorado’s (PSCo’s) application to reduce the gas cost adjustment (GCA) downward – resulting in a roughly 15 percent bill reduction for both residential and small commercial natural gas customers and more modest savings for other customers. Approximately 35,000 Coloradans Chose the Colorado Option During the 2023 Open Enrollment

DENVER - As announced by the Governor during his State of the State speech, the preliminary 2023 open enrollment figures for the Colorado Option make it clear that the Coloradans are excited and want the Colorado Option. 

As of January 10th, approximately 35,000 people have enrolled in Colorado Option plans - approximately 25,000 through Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance marketplace, and another 10,000 via OmniSalud. 

Consumer Advisory: There’s Still Time to Enroll in Health Insurance for 2023

DENVER - Even though 2023 has started, open enrollment for individual health insurance (meaning for people who don’t get their insurance from an employer) continues until Jan. 15. Anyone who needs health insurance and hasn’t enrolled in a plan for 2023 can enroll and get coverage that will start on February 1, 2023. 

Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Urges Consumers to Learn About Automated Emergency Features on Smartphones and Wearable Devices

Denver - The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is urging consumers to learn how automated emergency features work on their smartphones and wearable devices. Over the last several years, both Apple iOS and Android smartphones have gained the ability to automatically dial 9-1-1 in certain circumstances, and this ability extends to some wearable devices, such as the Apple Watch.

Consumer Advisory: Public Comment Hearings on Dec. 8 and Jan. 3 for Atmos Energy’s Proposed Natural Gas Rate Increase

DENVER - The Office of the Utility Consumer Advocate (UCA), Colorado’s advocate for residential, small commercial and agricultural utility ratepayers in rate and rule-making proceedings before the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), is informing natural gas customers of Atmos Energy Corporation (Atmos), of two PUC remote public comment hearings for customers to comment on Atmos’s proposed natural gas rate increase.
