Status and Evaluation of Energy Bill Assistance Programs for Income-Qualified Customers Presentation

On Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., the Public Utilities Commissioners will be hearing presentations on the Status and Evaluation of Energy Bill Assistance Programs for Income-Qualified Customers. Presenters will provide updates and respond to Commissioner questions about eligibility and enrollment processes for residential energy bill assistance programs, program budgets and oversight, and enrollment trends in recent years. The Colorado Energy Office will also discuss an impending evaluation of utility bill assistance programs required by Commission rules.

DENVER- On Monday, Jan. 30, the PUC approved Public Service Company of Colorado’s (PSCo’s) application to reduce the gas cost adjustment (GCA) downward – resulting in a roughly 15 percent bill reduction for both residential and small commercial natural gas customers and more modest savings for other customers.
