DENVER - Public comment hearings are scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, and Tuesday, September 6 for input on Xcel Energy’s 2022-2025 Renewable Energy Plan.

The Colorado Renewable Energy Standard requires at least 30 percent of retail electricity sales to be generated by renewable energy for certain utilities. Xcel Energy’s plan, which will be evaluated through a litigated process, addresses solar programs for residents and businesses for 2022-2025, including rooftop solar, community solar gardens, utility-scale solar, and solar paired with battery storage. The plan includes proposals for program design, incentives, outreach, and cost recovery. Portions of renewable energy programs are funded by a charge of no more than two percent on customers’ electric bills. All filings, including the proposed plan, can be found in the Commission’s E-Filings system for Proceeding No. 21A-0625EG.

Hearings will offer simultaneous Spanish interpretation. Links to the remote meetings, which will be held using Zoom, can be found on the Commission’s public calendar: https://puc.colorado.gov/puccalendar.
